Cottonn Yancey - Cowboy Highway

Cowboy Highway is a collection of 15 stories and poems written and performed by Cotton Yancey in tribute to the Great American Cowboy.

Cotton is a rodeo horseback announcer and Gold Card member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

He has had the privilege of witnessing, first hand, the trials and tribulations of all aspects of this truly original extreme sport and the extremely large heart of the Great American Cowboy.

Every word on Cowboy Highway was written behind the wheel of a one ton dually, on the road, driving from one rodeo to another, with exception of “Departure Time,” which was composed in an airport.

Cotton Yancey’s rendering of these tales makes a compelling listen when driving those lonesome Western highways.

Album highlights: Dreams, Longhorns and Wolves, and The Cowboy.
